The Colonel, a creekwater drain running under the former village of New Toronto carries [we believe] the remnants of Jackson Creek out to Lake Ontario. The newer RCB/RCP pipe for this drain replaces on old one that diverted the creek under this neighbourhood pre WWII. Both drains join each other in two locations, and provide an intersting contrast in stormwater management. Upstream in the newer RCP we encounter a lovely set of stairs and a grill for venting (and natural light). Past the stairs it turns into a real back breaker, and wasn't really worth venturing further.
