This former sewage treatment plant sat at the mouth of the Mimico Creek / Bonar Creek treating sewage for the city of Etobicoke for five decades. The new Humber Treatment Plant was built to increase capacity for an ever growing city, and replaced this aging facility in the 90's. This plant has since been demolished, and it's lot left vacent. Soon enough we're sure another condo tower will soar in its place... and the yuppie condo owners will wonder why it always smells like poo.
